As long as student growth and development is ensured, as a faculty, you have the utmost freedom and academic autonomy to teach and experiment. You are free to conduct workshops and seminar, you can publish research papers, develop courses on new technologies. Within the framework of assessment, you have the freedom to assess the capability of students in your courses.
