Vaagdevi College of Engineering is a leading Technical Institution in India located at Warangal, Telangana. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering having academic autonomy of having its own syllabus and curriculum. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate in various disciplines of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Department of ECE is accredited by NBA under Tier -II in 2009 and 2017, New Delhi.
The department started with an initial intake of 40 students in UG Program in ECE in the year 1998 and the intake is enhanced to 60 in the year 1999, 90 in the year 2002, 120 in the year 2007 and increased to 180 in the year 2011 and increased intake with 240 in 2012.
In 2007, the department introduced a PG Program in “Digital System and Computer Electronics” with an intake of 18 students. Also, other/new PG programs namely “VLSI System Design” and “Wireless and Mobile Communications”. “VLSI System Design” started in the year 2008 an initial intake of 18 students and the intake is enhanced to 24 in the year 2011, 36 in the year 2012. “VLSI System Design (Shift-II)” was started in the year 2012 with an intake of 24 students. “Wireless and Mobile Communications” was started in the year 2009 with an intake of 18 students and the intake is enhanced to 30 in the year 2011. Wireless Mobile Communications (Shift-II) was started in the year 2014 with an intake of 24 students.
The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Vaagdevi College of Engineering has a top-level quality assessment rating for teaching and reputation for research. It is established since the inception of the college with the avowed intent and creating highly qualified engineers and researchers who can give a substantial contribution to the field of electronics and communication engineering. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has the strength of around a thousand students guided by a team of devoted and diligent staff members.
The laboratories are all well equipped and include VLSI design lab, DSP lab, Microwave engineering lab, Communication systems lab, MP&MC lab, linear & digital IC lab and other basic electronics labs.
