DESCRIPTION:A one-day Intellectual Property (IP) Awareness Workshop was successfully conducted on 24th March 2026 at the West Block Auditorium\, Vaagdevi College of Engineering\, Bollikunta – Warangal. The event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME and the Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC)\, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) cell\, and funded by the MSME\, Government of India. \nThe workshop witnessed the active participation of 100+ attendees from diverse backgrounds\, including students\, researchers\, MSMEs\, startups\, and local entrepreneurs. The primary objective of the session was to demystify intellectual property rights\, offering practical insights into IP filing procedures\, protection strategies\, and commercialization of innovations. \nThe session was led by Mr. Srinivas Maddipati\, President of the Educational Society for Intellectual Property Rights (ESIPR)\, who served as the resource person. He provided in-depth knowledge on patents\, trademarks\, copyrights\, and the importance of safeguarding innovative ideas in today’s competitive landscape. \nThe workshop was conducted under the guidance of: \n\nDr. K. Prakash\, Principal (Convener)\nDr. K. Thirupathi Rao\, Vice Principal\nDr. M. SUMMARY:A Three-Day National Level Hands-on Workshop on Designing of VLSI Chips Using Back-End Tool (MICROWIND)-ECE
DESCRIPTION:Day 1: Front-End Tool (DSCH) \nDate: 17th February 2026 \n  \nThe workshop was inaugurated by our respected Head of the Department\, Dr. V. Sudheer Raja\, in the presence of the coordinators Dr. B. Sateesh\, Dr. G. Koteswara Rao\, and Mr. G. Rajendra Prasad\, along with senior faculty members. \nIn the morning session\, Dr. B. Sateesh delivered a lecture introducing VLSI chip design concepts. In the afternoon session\, a hands-on practical session was conducted. Students implemented inverter and basic logic gate designs using the DSCH front-end tool. Dr. G. Koteswara Rao and Mr. G. Rajendra Prasad actively supported the session and guided students throughout the practical implementation. \n  \nDay 2: Back-End Tool (MICROWIND) \nDate: 18th February 2026 \nIn the morning session\, Dr. B. Sateesh delivered a lecture on the introduction to the MICROWIND back-end tool. In the afternoon session\, students practiced using the tool with the guidance of Dr. B. Sateesh\, Dr. G. Koteswara Rao\, and Mr. G. Rajendra Prasad.On the second day\, students learned the following topics: \nWorking procedure of the MICROWIND back-end tool CMOS layout design using MOS layers as per lambda-based design rules Measurement of theoretical power and delay Generation of NMOS and PMOS layouts without predefined layers Extraction of VLSI circuits from the DSCH front-end tool into layouts using MICROWIND \n  \nDay 3: Projects and Valedictory Session \nDate: 19th February 2026 \nOn the third day\, practical case studies related to VLSI chip design were introduced. The speakers explained how CMOS circuits are implemented in real-time industry projects and discussed the importance of design parameters such as area\, speed\, and power consumption in semiconductor fabrication.A quiz and project competition were conducted to evaluate the students’ understanding of VLSI design concepts. \n  \nIn the evening\, the valedictory program was attended by the Head of the Department and senior faculty members. During the program\, the Head of the Department distributed prize money to the winners of the project competition. The first prize was awarded to the Albert Einstein Team\, the second prize to the Shanti Swaroop Team\, the third prize to the Thomas Team\, and the consolation prize to the Kalpana Chawla Team. Finally\, the workshop coordinator delivered the vote of thanks\, expressing gratitude to the Head of the Department\, the Principal\, and the management for providing the opportunity to organize this workshop.

In his adressing\, he shared how his journey started in vaagdevi as a student and how he reached his current position\,he motivated the students how to take career paths in the core side\, what type of knowledge required\, how to improve the skills and how to get ready for the industry requirements. DESCRIPTION:The department of ECE successfully conducted a parent-teacher meeting(PTM) for all second year and third year students. The meeting has been commenced at 11:30Am with a keynote address by Dean academics\, followed by addressing remarks by the head of the department. Discussions focused mainly on student academic progress and their well-being for their future pathways have made. The meeting also highlighted the vital industry opportunities available and emphasized the holistic development needed for placements and higher studies. All around 75 parents have attended the meeting. It was wonderful to engage directly with the parents to ensure a shared commitment to maximizing the student potential. SUMMARY:Industrial visit to ISRO -ECE
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)\, Vaagdevi College of Engineering\, Bollikunta\, Warangal\, organized an industrial visit to ISRO – Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR)\, Sriharikota\, for III Year B.Tech ECE students on 28 January 2026 under the ISTE Students Chapter. A total of 35 students and 4 faculty members participated in the visit\, which was coordinated by Dr. Asiya Sulthana\, ISTE Coordinator\, under the guidance of the Head of the Department\, Dr. V. Sudheer Raja. \nDuring the visit\, students gained valuable exposure to mission control operations\, launch pads\, rocket launch processes\, and safety systems associated with PSLV\, GSLV\, and LVM3 launch vehicles. The interaction with ISRO scientists enhanced students’ understanding of real-time aerospace applications of ECE concepts and created awareness about career opportunities\, internships\, and higher studies in the space sector. The visit was academically enriching and significantly contributed to experiential learning and industry–academia interaction.

Program HighlightsThe speakers explained common types of digital fraud such as phishing\, OTP frauds\, UPI and social media scams\, and stressed safe online practices including strong passwords\, verification of links\, and cautious financial transactions.\nStudents were guided on how to report cyber incidents through local police\, cybercrime portals\, and helplines\, reinforcing the importance of timely reporting and digital responsibility.\nParticipation and Outcomes\nA large number of B.Tech I Year students actively participated\, interacted with the officers\, and clarified doubts through a Q&A session.\nThe session enhanced students’ awareness of digital fraud risks and equipped them with practical steps to protect themselves and their families in the online environment.
