Vaagdevi College of Engineering has sophisticated computer labs for students to acquire knowledge in Hardware, Networking, Open source environment, middleware technologies, Computer graphics, Object-oriented concepts and Java, etc., and help students develop the software and applications in a more efficient manner. The labs at VCE are well equipped with the latest computers, servers with high-speed internet connectivity. Guidance for CSE students at our autonomous college in Warangal is provided by a team of experienced faculty members and lab technicians. The objective of our labs is to establish the department as a renowned academic and research centre among B. Tech colleges in Warangal & to cater to the needs of the student community for the development of the nation. Towards fulfilling the objective, the department has created excellent infrastructure, laboratories and workshops, with a dedicated team of faculty members. VCE constantly upgrades the lab amenities to provide students and staff with state-of-the-art facilities. Vaagdevi College of Engineering has earned a reputation for the excellence of its work across a range of computer-based disciplines among best engineering colleges in Telangana. Our computer lab is a perfect resource centre equipped with the recent software and internet facility to feed the art of computer science to our budding engineers.

Laboratories maintenance and overall ambiance

Maintenance of Laboratory Equipment
  • Do’s and Don’ts and Safety measures rules are displayed in each laboratory.
  • Well trained Staffs are available for maintenance of systems and software.
  • Frequent Maintenance of systems on damage or malfunctions and replacement of parts.
  • AC’s and UPS are serviced frequently.
  • All necessary software for the smooth conducting of the lab are installed in respective labs

Overall Ambience

Department is well equipped with necessary equipment’s which caters to all UG & PG courses as per curriculum requirements.

  • All the doors and windows in the rooms are located to allow maximum daylight and provide good cross ventilation.
  • All windows in the rooms are covered by curtains.
  • All laboratories are well furnished.
  • All the doors are sufficiently wide and available in adequate numbers, to evacuate people inside in case of emergency.
  • The buildings are designed by professional architects, who give utmost care in providing academic ambiance in all the rooms.
  • Conditions of chairs are in good condition. Chairs are provided for individual students in Labs.
  • Sufficient numbers of windows is available for ventilation and natural light and every lab has one exit.
  • Lighting systems are very effective, along with the natural light in every corner of the rooms.
  • Each Lab is equipped with white board.
  • A/C s is provided to maintain ambient temperature.

Java Programming Laboratory

General Rules of Conduct in Laboratories are displayed.
1. First aid box are kept in the laboratory in case of emergency.
2. Fire Extinguisher and Sand Buckets is available in the Laboratory in case of fire emergency.
3. Students are allotted with their respective system number, according to their roll numbers, and enroll the details in login books.
4. CCTV camera attached in all labs.
5. Students must remove their foot wears and keep in the shoe racks which are placed outside in the Laboratories.
6. The student must check the computer unit and its peripherals attached before using it. The student must immediately inform the instructor if there’s any defect, error or damage observed at the computer (hardware/software).
7. Periodical servicing of the lab equipment’s.
8. Students must shutdown personal computer properly to avoid system failure.
